Small Group Training (2-8 Players)

Group training offers a fun, competitive, and fast-paced environment where players develop together in small groups of 2–8. These sessions are ideal for teammates, friends, siblings, or training pods who want to share ice time while still receiving personalized instruction.

All ages and all skill levels are welcome, whether your group includes brand-new skaters, developing youth players, competitive travel athletes, or high-school/AAA talent, sessions are adapted to the needs and ability level of the players attending.

What Group Training Looks Like

Group sessions blend individual skill work with game-like situations, decision-making, and competition. Players receive targeted coaching and corrections, while also benefiting from the increased pace and challenge of working with peers.

Skills We Work On

  • Skating mechanics, stride efficiency, and edge control

  • Puck handling and puck protection under pressure

  • Passing, timing, and support play

  • Shooting in stride, accuracy, and scoring skills

  • Small-area battles and situational drills

  • Reading and reacting at game speed

  • Position-specific development (forward/defense)

Who This Is For

Group training is a great fit for:

  • Teammates looking to continue developing together

  • Friends who enjoy training in a shared environment

  • Siblings close in age or ability

  • Players who thrive in competitive, fast-paced sessions

  • All ages – from young beginners through high school and adult players

  • All skill levels – from foundational development to advanced performance

Sessions are modified to match the age range, ability level, and goals of the group you bring.

How Group Training Works

  • Groups consist of 2–8 players

  • Your group books the session together

  • Drills and coaching are adapted specifically to your group

  • Training is designed to keep every player challenged and engaged

Pricing

Pricing for group training varies based on two factors:

  1. The size of your group (2–8 players)

  2. The rink’s ice rental rate for the time your session is scheduled
(Off-peak, standard, and prime hours all have different rental costs across Chicagoland.)

Because rink prices change by location and time of day, final session rates are provided individually.
